Shattered, Scattered and Unseen- A poem about burglary

A house sits with its back to the woods
a portrait of civility, peace and good
from the shadows evil draws nigh
Crowbar in hand, arm raised high
In an instant the window pane smashed
the flutter of wings and peace is dashed
From the scene all wild life flees
and resorts to the safety it finds in the trees
